Finally checking out Forbidden Solitaire. Loving the spooky vibes + @GreyAlien's precisely tuned solitaire gameplay. I'm looking fwd to the next Regency Solitaire someday, but for now, I'm really into this one and I think it will reach new audiences ❤️

@d05dev We may add more modes. Plans are afoot. But generating levels dynamically and having them be balanced etc is a big job and not planned.

@GreyAlien Any plans to add an “infinite mode” similar to the adventure mode in Diablo 3 with dynamically generated levels? Have seen some folks request this to maximize replayability of the core loop. It could significantly improve the total active user count and keep more people playing!

For the avoidance of doubt, Forbidden Solitaire contains solitaire. There are lots of different rulesets and we adapted one that is fun to build combos in. RNG is a factor because a deck of cards is shuffled into a layout, however your skill and gems+jokers make a big difference.

@GreyAlien Just saw this tweet thread just as I got finished writing up a script for a video that covers literally everything you've just said. Weird timing!

@daveleack If it fails, then it remakes the level. Also we check for certain conditions on some levels like tutorial levels.

@daveleack Ha thanks! The levels are not necessarily completable because it's just a random shuffle of cards laid out. However, if there are suit locks present then we DO check that it's possible to unlock those by running an algorithm that clears the cards internally.

Our game has received Overwhelmingly Positive reviews on Steam in 3 days!!

In addition to all that, there's the main 1995 game story and of course the meta horror story. It's an "experience".

Also the game keeps introducing new special cards and different enemy attacks to keep it varied. By the end of the game you'll have over 20 cool jokers that really become fun and strategic to use to help you beat the levels.
