So disgusted by this… Worked with Maureen in 2015 on a play, in Birmingham & London, & there were concerns for her safety even then. This abysmally foul & downright dangerous attempt to demonise & cancel her should outrage & sicken us all. Arts: SPEAK UP & OUT! RT 🙏

Aberdeen (Scotland) "pro-Palestinian" activists are demanding a Jewish actress - who they portray as the devil - not be allowed to perform in a local theater production This is gutter-level stuff

Activist: "Those sheep are being exploited for wool." Farmer: "They need shearing. Without it: heatstroke, fleece so heavy they can't stand, and fly strike. Flies lay eggs in wet wool. Maggots eat the sheep alive." Activist: "In nature they wouldn't need it." Farmer: "In nature they'd be dead. Domestic sheep aren't wild animals." Activist: "You bred them to be dependent on you." Farmer: "Yes. That's what domestication is. Ten thousand years of it." Activist: "It's still exploitation." Farmer: "They get relieved of ten pounds of wool that's killing them. We get wool. No petroleum. No microplastics in the waterways." Activist: "They can't consent." Farmer: "They also can't shear themselves." Activist: "You should let them be natural." Farmer: "You're wearing a North Face." Activist: "What?" Farmer: "Petroleum. Sheds microplastics every wash. Five hundred years in landfill." Activist: "That's different." Farmer: "There's a renewable, biodegradable fibre growing on that sheep right now. Needs removing or the animal suffers horribly." Activist: "Just let them keep their wool." Farmer: "I'll let you explain that to the sheep in August."

It is distressing and disturbing to wake up to the news that a car bomb exploded outside Dunmurry police station last night. A busy area, a car bomb left outside residential housing, small businesses and any number of people out and about on a Saturday night working or socialising. It is only through the grace of God that there are no casualties. I'm really grateful to the first responders, PSNI & Army Technical Officers as well as other emergency services who attended the scene. The good and decent people of Northern Ireland, from right across all communities, rejected the bomb and the bullet in the past and will do so again. We are stronger than you and any evil you may seek to wreak across our community. You will never win. Photos @Kscott_94

Peter Mandelson, Jonathan Powell and Richard Hermer all have links to Starmer’s multi billion pound #Chagos surrender. Evidence to MPs has already raised serious questions about the speed of appointments and the vetting process. Keir Starmer has a lot of questions to answer.

"Wriggle room if the killings did not in fact happen." Those are the words of Keir Starmer's Attorney General, sent whilst dragging British troops through the courts. The troops were innocent. Keir Starmer's judgement is not.

Lord Hermer is a disgrace. And the fact that Keir Starmer brought him into government tells you everything you need to know about the PM. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/04/2…

.@Keir_Starmer Prime Minister, your colleague's reply is misleading. I urge you to tell the full truth: 1. Your government did have a role: you joined the consensus decision to nominate the Islamic Republic of Iran to a UN committee that meets soon to address women's rights and terrorism prevention. 2. You failed to take any measures to defeat Iran, as the UK had done in 2010. 3. You failed to dissociate from consensus, as the U.S. did at that meeting — and as the UK had done in the past. 🧵
UN Watch@UNWatch

🇬🇧 UK's Starmer government denies “any role” in nominating Iran to UN committee. “We did not have an option to block that appointment.” @pritipatel, Shadow Foreign Secretary: “The barbaric regime in Tehran has murdered tens of thousands of its own people. It remains the world’s foremost state sponsor of terrorism and is responsible for appalling antisemitism, and for spying on the British Jewish community. Why did the Government not stop Iran from being appointed to prominent positions in the United Nations Economic and Social Council, as the United States did?” @HFalconerMP, Minister for Middle East: “As I understand it, the United Nations appointment she refers to refers was a decision of the Asia-Pacific committee. It was not a decision over which His Majesty’s Government had any role, and was subject to an automaticity process, rather than a vote. We did not have a option to block this, though the Foreign Secretary did raise her concerns about it at the United Nations.”

Once again, while the British public is kept in the dark, UK officials are in Mauritius advancing Labour’s deeply controversial plan to hand over YOUR British territory to a country that has no claim to it. A delegation led by FCDO negotiator Robbie Bulloch, alongside Paul Brummell, Peter Candler, and Paul McKell, has met the Mauritian Prime Minister to push the #Chagos surrender forward behind closed doors. No transparency. No accountability. Serious questions about whose interests are REALLY being served. How can anyone justify denying the Chagossian people their right to self-determination AGAIN? It’s 2026, folks. This should never be happening. Thanks to you, our PAC supporters, we have already taken legal action and led the campaign to stop this — and we will not back down now. The Chagossian people must have self-determination. They overwhelmingly want the right to return to their islands as British citizens. The British public deserves the truth. #SaveChagos

It’s really good news, this - and I’m also encouraged by the positive reaction from Europe (below is just one example). Maybe we’ve turned the corner and can finally begin to put the last decade behind us.

You won't hear a peep about this from Farage, Tice or Jenrick. Under the Tories, up to 400 hotels were being used to house asylum seekers. With Labour, there are now just 185, with 11 more hotels re-opening to the public, saving the taxpayer £65 million a year.
Alex Norris MP@AlexJJNorris

There were more than 400 asylum hotels under the previous government – that number has been more than halved, with 11 more closing this week. Labour is bringing the asylum system under control.

So, Britain would have to pay the EU £570m next year, followed by £840m in future years for the privilege of joining this scheme. The Turing scheme is more targeted, cheaper (£110m per year), has broader global reach and only funds British talent. Tell me something Erasmus+ offers British students that Turing doesn't.
