Over the years I have learned that it is never too late for a book to find success. My debut launched nearly 10 years ago and sat with a handful of ratings for a long time. Today is has nearly 400. Keep going 💪

@ChrisC_Writes Short-form videos for sure are hitting attention spans. It's hitting the movie industry too.

Is short-form video destroying our collective attention span for reading, or are books just getting boring?

I have a lot of drafts sitting in folders on my computer. They are not sitting there because I think they are bad writing. They sit there because, though the themes are important to me, I run into doubts as to whether they would sell. That ends today. Write what you feel, friends. The right audience will find you. #WritingCommunity

@AuthorGFAllen Jeff VanderMeer. He has a lot of hits, some better than others, but always worth the time spent reading.

Do you have a favorite author you always pick up, even if you haven’t read their book yet?

@theGrimWriter I usually jot it down and let it incubate until the one I'm working on is done!

#WritingCommunity I’m curious. What do you do when you get another book idea but are already writing a book? Do you work on both books? Or do you write the idea down? #writingq #authors

Has writing in a genre ever made you like that genre more or turned you away from the genre? #writerscommunity

Using commas where they shouldn't be for dramatic pauses, can read like a typo. Omitting commas where they should be can make the prose look clunky and overstylized and bloated. Breaking rules for irony, however, works well sometimes. 😉 Writers, how's your comma game?

Finished the first draft of my high fantasy novel today. 131,000 words at final count. Really, really enjoyed writing this one. Now for the looooooong road of editing.

@itsdylanmercer I change up what I'm writing if I'm stuck during a novel. Nothing like a five page short story to shake something loose!

To all the writers out there: How do you keep writing when you're in a mental slump? I'm struggling to sit down and write because external anxiety is so pervasive I can't enjoy what I'm doing. #amwriting #writingcommunity
