@lymanstoneky It would be different. I wonder how my dogs would react to a farm robot. The legs will need to be urine proof. 😆

Dude, if we get actually good mechanized picked tea, it's gonna be a gamechanger. The American south will absolutely wreck global tea production. The labor cost bottleneck has been prohibitive for American tea, and using a cutter to harvest is a big quality loss. An actual leaf-plucker robot would allow capital-deep American farmers to get in the game on a crop which is extremely well-suited to the climate of the southeast-- so much so that its close genetic relative, the camellia flowers, grows wild without assistance!
People's Daily, China@PDChina

A humanoid robot is learning to pick tender tea leaves under the guidance of workers at a West Lake Longjing tea plantation in Hangzhou, east China’s Zhejiang Province. With AI recognition models and algorithms, the robot is capable of identifying and locating leaves that meet harvesting standards.

This seems like such a simple thing to do compared to building a smart phone or electric car. But when all else fails in the world men like these old white guys will rebuild the world that the tech revolution is destroying. Dig the elite out or burn their bunkers with fire. It’s time to return to the old ways IMHO.

Trying to soak up some of this bright sunshine. Working outside with skin uncovered also means I need to take some breaks to let my body use all of this energy effectively or maybe I am just hot.

I’ve been pulling them off of me and my dogs like crazy this week! It’s ridiculous! Something is going on because I’ve never seen so many as I’m seeing right now.
Thrilla the Gorilla@ThrillaRilla369

Ticks cannot fly, they cannot jump, and they crawl slower than a snail. Yet, they somehow “outbreak” across thousands of miles of different states in the exact same week. They aren’t migrating through the woods; they are being delivered.

@Real_Ames Maybe a covered dog run or something? Miscommunication is easy with text and if you like neighbor try to talk in person. I have loud dogs. One likes to hunt and will just bark at the trapped critters she can't reach for hours until it gives up.

Ok.. I need some advice. I have 2 dogs that will not potty outside in the rain. Their last potty break is right before I go to bed. If it is raining, one of them uses a puppy pad, and the other will wake me up around 3am to go . She will potty... and come right back but sometimes she barks at a cat or something. My next door neighbor will text me at 3 am and tell me my dog is barking. Last night she simply sends me a dog emoji. She has a tree that hangs over our fence and drops mistletoe like berries onto our deck all winter long. I have let it slide. But this morning, I told her since we were voicing our complaints today ... she needs to do something about that tree limb. Was I wrong for getting mad about the dog emoji.. and telling her to remove that limb? Who is wrong here ?

Linda Prescott hung her porch swing from the big pine in her front yard in 2009. Never questioned why the trunk felt warm in winter. Never wondered about the faint hum. A Verizon technician knocked on her door last March. Said they needed to service the monopole. She asked what monopole. He pointed at her tree. Turned out the HOA had approved a cell tower disguised as a ninety-foot pine in 2007 - two years before she bought the house. Her swing had been bolted into a steel trunk wrapped in synthetic bark. "Best cell reception on the block," she told the local paper. "I just thought I was lucky." Verizon offered her $400 a month in antenna lease payments, backdated eighteen months. She used the first check to buy a second swing.

Day 4 sober. Anxiety is running high. Cravings are peaking. Appetite is almost gone. I went to the hospital today. The doctors increased the dosage of my medicines for a few days and gave me a strict warning: stay completely away from alcohol. What hurts most is remembering 2024 and realizing I have to walk through this withdrawal all over again. I kept thinking about my mother. If she were here, she would probably bring me something to eat, sit beside me, and try to calm me down somehow. Grief and recovery together feel very heavy some days. But I’m still here. Still sober today. The reboot continues.
The Reboot Man@TheRebootPath

500 days sober while fighting debt, shame, addiction, and my own inner demons. Then life hit harder than I was ready for. My mother had a stroke on 16 Jan 2026. I relapsed. I clawed my way back and managed 20 days sober. Then she died on 08 Apr 2026. And I fell hard — morning drinking, isolation, darkness. Today is Day 3 sober again. I’m not pretending this is easy. I’m not claiming I’ve got it all figured out. But I’m here. Still breathing. Still fighting. The reboot continues.
