@SKREEONKG As far as for manatees, if they're nonreleasable then they are sent to other facilities to free up space for incoming cases. For other animals like dolphins, the decision is made by FWC and NOAA as to where they are permanently housed.

I need some of u to realise SeaWorld hasn’t taken in wild animals and put them in captivity for years. They do actual rehab work now. Best case scenario that manatee will be released back into the wild

@VinceJeevar @camthecowboyman @CMAquarium CM Aquarium isn't a critical manatee care facility, which SeaWorld is. It's also on the entirely opposite side of the state from where the manatee was found.

Really bothers me that the groupthink reaction to this is to act like SeaWorld's rescue program isn't saving lives (and has been for decades now). Yes cetacean captivity is controversial, but lets not act like SeaWorld's marine mammal rescue programs aren't necessary or important. Would you rather them just die...?

The key is to cover your bag, jacket, hat WHATEVER with pins and keychains of all your interests. People who recognise characters WILL talk to you and it makes conversing with strangers easier when you know you both have an intrest in common

I use them like a hot water bottle, so you place it over your tummy and it helps soooo much! Plus, they come in a ton of shapes, so you can get her favorite animal.
