@BrianRoemmele What makes them think that a significant number of wealthy people who have private jets will have early warning? That’s the entire premise. If only a small number do or they have significant advanced warning and their trips are more spread out, this whole system falls apart.

A 40-year-old patent has finally been brought to life. That's the Y-zipper. A 3D-printed three-sided fastener that transitions any object from flexible to rigid and back again. The robotics application is the one that caught my attention. A quadruped robot that adjusts its leg stiffness depending on terrain, switching between rigid and flexible in real time without additional motors or complex mechanical systems. But this goes way beyond robotics. A wrist cast that loosens during the day and stiffens at night. A tent that pops into shape in 90 seconds instead of six minutes. The idea sat in a patent filing for four decades. It took 3D printing to finally make it real. ~~ ♻️ Join the weekly robotics newsletter, and never miss any news → ziegler.substack.com

This is interesting. Sounds like the actions of a supervillain… or the start of a Bond movie…

‼️THE HANTAVIRUS HEIST: 323 Vials "Missing" from Queensland Lab! 👀 The "global emergency" we are watching unfold isn't a series of unfortunate events—it's a synchronized, manufactured script. While the WHO attempts to gaslight the world into believing this is a "novel" cruise ship outbreak, the receipts from Australia prove that the materials for this crisis were "lost" by the establishment long ago. A major biosecurity breach has been exposed in Queensland, Australia, and the implications are nuclear. Authorities have admitted that 323 vials of deadly infectious viruses—including Hantavirus, Hendra, and Lyssavirus—went "missing" from the Public Health Virology Laboratory. The Anatomy of a Planned Crisis: The "Historical" Breach: The government admits these samples went missing back in August 2023, but they waited until December 2024 to tell the public, and only now in 2026 are we seeing the real-world consequences. Why the delay? Because you don't announce a heist until you're ready to launch the "outbreak." The "Disease X" Connection: Experts are already calling Hantavirus "100 times more lethal than COVID-19." The WHO is currently trying to manufacture mass panic by claiming the virus originated on a cruise ship, but how can it be "novel" when hundreds of vials were stolen from a top-tier lab nearly three years ago? The New Mexico Overlap: We already know Gene Hackman and his wife died of Hantavirus in New Mexico in early February 2026. They weren't on a cruise ship. They were victims of a virus that the establishment has had "out in the wild" since the Queensland vials vanished. The Vaccine Setup: Remember: Moderna was already sequencing the Hantavirus antigen in April 2024 for a "collapsing" project. They had the cure ready for a virus that wasn't supposed to be an "emergency" yet. This is the same playbook we saw in 2020: Theft → "Outbreak" → Mass Panic → Mandated mRNA. The Reality:They are claiming there is "no evidence of risk to the community" while simultaneously preparing for "COVID 2.0." They are telling you the samples "degraded," yet we have people dying in New Mexico and outbreaks on ships. This wasn't a "lapse" in security. It was a controlled release. They gave themselves a two-year head start to build the narrative, fund the vaccine, and position the "Disease X" script. Don't let them gaslight you into a second lockdown. The "noticing" is your only immunity. If 323 vials go missing and the government waits over a year to report it, that isn't a "breach"—it's a hand-off. RT if you see the pattern. They can't hide the theft anymore. 👇 Shout to @Shayna2342 for the awesome research. FOLLOW Her!

Anthropic is buying millions of rare books, scanning and destroying them because legally destruction is the safest option. This was a plot element in the Vernor Vinge novel, "The Rainbow's End", which I read 20 years ago.

An excellent reminder.
Ancient History Hub@AncientHistorry

In 458 BC, Rome was on the brink of collapse. An invading army had trapped the Roman consul and his legion in a mountain pass. Panic spread through the city. The Senate did the only thing they could think of: They sent messengers to find a 60-year-old farmer plowing his field. His name was Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus. He had once been a senator, then lost his fortune paying his son's bail. Now he worked his own four-acre plot just to feed his family. When the Senate's envoys arrived, they found him sweating behind a plow. They asked him to put on his toga so they could deliver an official message. The message: Rome was making him dictator. Absolute power. Total command of the army. No checks. No oversight. No term limit. He accepted. Within 16 days, Cincinnatus had raised an army, marched out, surrounded the enemy, and forced their surrender. The republic was saved. He had legal authority to rule for six months. He could have stayed. He could have expanded his power. He could have done what every other ruler in human history did when handed unlimited control. Instead, he resigned on day 16. He took off the toga, walked back to his farm, and finished plowing the field he'd left half-done. Twenty years later, when Rome faced another crisis, they called him back. He was 80 years old. He took command, crushed the conspiracy, and resigned again, this time after just 21 days. He died poor. On his farm. 2,200 years later, when George Washington was offered a kingship after winning the American Revolution, he refused and went home to Mount Vernon. The reason he was hailed as "the American Cincinnatus" is because Europeans literally could not believe a man who had won would willingly give up power. King George III, on hearing Washington would resign rather than rule, said: "If he does that, he will be the greatest man in the world." The lesson isn't that Cincinnatus was humble. The lesson is that for most of human history, the people most qualified to lead were the ones who didn't want to. And the moment a society starts rewarding those who chase power instead of those who flee from it is the moment the republic begins to die. Cincinnati, Ohio is named after him. Most people who live there have no idea why.

@LeaderJohnThune I came here for the ratio and comments. Didn’t disappoint. I don’t know what kind of blackmail you’re under, but it has to be really bad, because people are REALLY mad at you.

BOOM! NVIDIA is going to help build HOME AI DATA CENTERS! I got laughed out of a Sand Hill Road VC a decade ago when I firmly stated there will be an anti cloud swing and some of it will be because of energy distribution and need for local AI. Welp…

I am just going to say it. I have been approached by a group of assistants to congress people that want to build Federal Restricted Robot Laws. I helped some of these folks over a decade ago and they were sane. What do they want to do? LICENSES FOR ALL HUMANOID ROBOTS! It will be up to $50,000 per year and will override any state laws, the average owner will pay about $5,000 per year! The robot WILL have a FREAKING LICENSE PLATE! Or face impounding. THE ROBOT MUST HAVE A POLICE APPROVED REMOTE DISABLE SWITCH! I offered my position and basically said this will fail their party and humanity. But it will also fail the US as it will send us to the dark ages. I made my point an said I will post about it. No hard feelings because the staff is even quite concerned. The anti clanker movement is taking hold fast. YOU HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED. IF YOU ARE IN THIS INDUSTRY, ACT NOW!

Won’t this restrict public access to the technology, so that only the well-capitalized will be able to benefit? Sounds like the makings of a techno-feudal society if this ever passes.

Boom! MORE AI TRAINING DATA! Someone here on X has just donated ~750 films and related 15 boxes of materials related to appliances and consumer electronics from the 1940s-1950s. Their great grandfather had a climate controlled basement full of this and more! ONE OF A KIND!
