@SteveOnSpeed Good deal. Make sure you look at some of their finished work before signing the contract. I don’t imagine it includes zip board and zip tape for sheathing, but that would be nice to have.

Just got a quote for a new garage at our lake house. $70,000. Includes: Foundation. 24x30 garage. Loft area upstairs with full plumbing. Earth leveling. Running utilities, like power, water, and sewer. This is good, terrible, or about right?

Just started my 3rd year trading. Made a lot, then lost it during that 2 years. Learned a lot. Gave up trying to make money. Just try to follow process, protect capital and profits, and compound a small cash account now. In 3-5 years I’ll be better and can worry about making money.

Survive to thrive. You do not have to be part of everything, every wiggle, every day. But when everything lines up you can find trades that change your life. First-you need to go through the process of learning to be a long term profitable trader. There is definitely a real progression. Give yourself time. Do not snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. This is a long term business. x.com/ces921/status/…

"just backtest 1,000 trades and you'll be profitable" no you fucking won't I watched a guy backtest 2,000 trades over 5 months and build a system with a 78% win rate that looked absolutely perfect on paper bought a $100k prop firm challenge. full confidence. "I know my edge." showed everyone the spreadsheet. 2,000 trades. 78% accuracy. 2.8R average winner blew the account in 8 days and the reason it happened will change how you think about preparation forever here's the day-by-day breakdown: day 1: took his first setup. clean entry. everything matched his criteria perfectly. textbook trade from his backtested system. got stopped out. normal loss. 1R gone except it wasn't normal. for the first time in his 5 months of "trading," he felt the loss PHYSICALLY. his chest tightened. his jaw clenched. in backtesting, a loss was a number in a spreadsheet cell. he'd click "loss" and move to the next candle. zero emotion. zero physiological response live, that same loss was $1,000 disappearing from an account with his name on it. his body registered it as a threat day 2: took another setup. got stopped out again. frustration hit in a way that reviewing historical candles never produced. he moved his stop on the third trade "just to give it a little more room." in 2,000 backtested trades he never once moved a stop. because there was nothing at stake. zero emotional incentive to deviate from the rules day 3: won a trade. but closed it at 1R instead of the 2.8R his backtest targeted. the unrealized profit was sitting there at +$1,000 and his brain couldn't handle the uncertainty of whether it would continue. "let me just take it while it's green." in backtesting he could see the full candle. he already knew the outcome. holding to 2.8R was effortless because there was no uncertainty. live, the future was invisible and the fear of losing the unrealized gain was overwhelming day 4: started hunting. took a trade that "almost" matched his criteria. 6 out of 7 checkboxes were met. close enough right? wrong. this setup doesn't exist in his backtesting data because during backtesting he was selective and objective. he could see 100 candles at once and cherry-pick the perfect entries. live, with frustration building and no retrospective advantage, his brain manufactured reasons to enter trades that didn't qualify day 5: two more losses. took a revenge trade with 3x his normal position size. "I KNOW this system works. I have 2,000 trades proving it." except those 2,000 trades were taken by a calm emotionless version of him scrolling through historical charts. THIS version of him, the live version, was a completely different operator. scared. frustrated. desperate. making decisions from his survival brain instead of his analytical brain day 6-8: full spiral. progressively larger positions, progressively worse entry quality, zero adherence to the system that backtested at 78%. every trade was an emotional reaction to the previous loss. by day 8 the account was gone his backtest win rate: 78% his live win rate over 8 days: 41% his live average winner: 1.1R (versus 2.8R backtested) his live average loser: 1.6R (versus 1R backtested) same strategy. same chart. same setups on paper completely different human operating the system because backtesting doesn't teach you the ONLY thing that actually determines whether you make money: how YOU behave when real money is moving in front of your face in real time with no ability to see the future you can't feel FOMO on a chart from 3 months ago you can't feel the physical panic of watching $1,500 in unrealized loss grow while you're holding you can't feel the greed that forces you to close a winner at 1R when your target was 3R because the green number might disappear backtesting reveals WHAT to trade. the pattern. the criteria. the statistical edge live trading reveals WHO you are under pressure

Yea bro, fuck ‘em. They are all suffering from low testosterone and obstructing us trying to take out evil terrorists who threaten everyone. Real weird people that we should not be defending at this point. They forget what actually runs the world, and it’s not a council in Brussels.

French President Macron on the Strait of Hormuz: "Opening it by force is not the option we have chosen, we consider it unrealistic. A military operation would take an infinite amount of time and expose forces to immense coastal and ballistic risks. From the beginning, we have said it must be reopened, but only in coordination with Iran. The world cannot live with a strait that can be opened or closed overnight."

I spent a lot of time in Ecuador thinking about trading and what my future looks like. I know I've said in the past that I'm almost done and I'm going to retire fully once again pretty soon. That has not changed and that is still my plan as I believe the next 30 years of my life can be spent in better ways than trying to make more wealth. That being said, I thought about the people along the way of my journey over the last three decades who have really helped me and also been there to encourage me. I thought about my past relationships with brokers in new york, Chicago and in California. Numerous people come to mind like Doug Frederick, Adam Korazyn, David Rainbeau and Joe Eli. These guys were pivotal to me early on in my career helping me achieve success in trading and financial rewards. I thought about the recent people in my life and I just wanted to say thank you to @ripster47 . He is probably the most genuine down to earth honest trader in this industry that I've ever met and I've met a lot. He gave me a home to plant my flag for a few years and I really appreciate that. I really appreciate the fact that he trusted me to lead the room to make money @TENETTRADEGROUP and he honored me along the way. I don't want anyone to think that your trading journey is going to be easy nor you can do it all by yourself. Along the way you find people that will help you and encourage you to become better and also just to talk about life. You cannot live life in a vacuum and you need friends. I have been blessed with really good friends in the trading category along with life! I'm grateful 🥲

@Mr_Derivatives By my 8th month of trading I had blown a few accounts. In the 8th month I deposited 1k and took it to 100k. Then I lost most of it in a day. April 2026 will be the start of my 3rd year trading. What a ride, and it's just getting started. (I don't trade like that anymore lol)

In this game we call The Stock Market that we all love so much: It’s ok to be wrong. It’s ok to lose money. It’s ok to have a losing streak. It’s ok to be criticized. It’s ok to be laughed at. It’s ok that you feel down. It’s ok to have a sleepless night or two. It’s part of the process. Everyone has gone through with it. Multiple times. And it will always be just part of the game. Forever. Surround yourself with a good support system. Close, like minded trader friends who will support you, but also be real with ya and tell you how it is at times. It’s ok. 🫂
