we’ve been saying Canada is three mining companies/two telecoms/three grocery monopolies in a trenchcoat all these years when it’s actually a fur coat with a mattress store, a beer maker, a bank, and a department store pinned to it this whole time?!?

Today, I sent a letter to the CBC Ombudsman demanding an explanation and accountability for the use of taxpayer money to mislead, deceive and lie to Canadian citizens, including Members of Parliament, in attempts to trick them into participating in a fake documentary smearing the reputation of Canada's first prime minister. I look forward to her response.

A teeny dip in rents does not equal affordability. According to UBC’s HART database, the median income for ppl 25 - 34 in Vancouver is ~46.8k/yr. At $2358/mo, thats 60.5% of gross income to the landlord. No wonder young ppl feel abandoned by the system.
