Very excited for this subnet & marketplace. TAO Flows has been a great development for bittensor but has also created a lot of pressure on subnet teams & even miners. Selling your tokens hurts the emissions of the network you’re building or contributing to. Meanwhile, all of the developments from BT has started to create a lot of buzz. When we talk to investors they’re excited about the future of bittensor. We knew these two worlds, high-velocity fast moving subnets & institutional investors, could be brought together in one place. A ground layer to rely on for deals to allow their networks to continue to grow and succeed & for investors to get structured deals. With GroundLayer investors can be active or passive, acting as a fund managers or putting capital in fund manager’s hands. Fund managers run deal desks, making deals with subnet alpha holders in OTC transactions (and more methods coming) with features designed for institutional adoption all through smart contracts. The subnet brings this altogether, incentivizing fund managers to lock up more AUM in deals. We (Taoshi x Rizzo) have an opportunity to bring hundreds of millions of $ (not an exaggeration) into bittensor in structured deals. Our plan is to scale & bring those funds into GroundLayer to help subnets succeed in an open, transparent marketplace. Lastly, and kind of a big one, we designed GroundLayer to be profitable (as soon as day 1) as a subnet and to scale profitability all while maintaining a winning formula for Sellers, Fund Managers, and Investors. $TAO
