Thank you to everyone who attended yesterday’s Veterans Day program at the Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veterans. We had a wonderful turn out which included WWII Veterans and Museum supporters David Greene and Curly Hultman.

Join us for special hours, 11AM-3PM, in honor of Veterans Day! All Veterans & Active Duty receive free admission in recognition of their service. A program with Historian Bob Neymeyer and former Waterloo Mayor Tim Hurley will be held at 12:30PM. Light refreshments available.

The Grout Museum district has a special museum devoted to Iowa Veterans, the Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veterans Museum. The Waterloo museum, to date, has captured over 2300 stories from Iowa veterans to date. Oral historian Pat Kinney explains how oral history project works and shares the Iowa veteran stories that stand out.
