The same as garlic really, If you plant now they’ll over winter ready for spring when they’ll get going. But don’t worry if you haven’t got any concrete bulbs to hand now, you can also plant them in early spring and still get a good harvest! 🌱

Make sure to regularly deadhead to avoid it setting seed, but don’t worry if it does. Maybe find a local seed-swap and exchange them for something else?

A bit about our plot! 🪴
We grow organically, without using pesticides or herbicides. We use natural feed such as seaweed, and wood chip and leaf mulches. Along with our own compost, comfrey and nettle tea, and some manure.

Even if there’s a waiting list, go for it! It gives a better picture of the real demand.
