Hot take: your SaaS landing page isn't broken because of bad design.
It's broken because it's speaking to everyone and converting no one.
Here's what I mean:
Most founders write their landing page copy for every type of person who could possibly benefit from their product.
So you write "powerful tools for modern teams." Safe. Covers everyone.
And converts nobody.
Because right now, somewhere, one of your visitors is staring at your hero section, thinking "is this for me?" - and if the answer isn't obvious in 5 seconds, they're gone.
Move on to competitors that make it easier for them to buy from.
I saw this on a page i audited last month. 0.8% conversion. The hero said exactly what I just quoted - "powerful tools for modern teams."
We changed it to:
"The best place to build, test, and discover front-end code.."
Conversion jumped to 4.3% in 14 days.
The only thing that changed was the specificity of the message.
The fix isn't more traffic.
The fix isn't a new template.
You're not losing visitors because your product is weak. You're losing them because they can't tell, fast enough, that you built this for them.
So before you touch your design, or CTA button - answer this:
→ Who is your ideal buyer?
→ What's their single biggest frustration right now?
→ What specific outcome do they desperately want?
Answer those three questions, and your hero section writes itself.
