One side accuses this account of being part of Sen. Win’s camp while another side accuses me of being part of Sen. Risa’s campaign. This account was actually created in the early morning of June 4 after a night of watching #WinRi edits after the Solid Bloc-11 (new majority) successfully restored the Senate’s integrity by ousting Chicken Little, who was harming the Senate to hold on to power. I am not associated with either camps of Sen. Risa or Sen. Win. I am simply a Filipino who started caring about the deadlock in the Senate and encountered #WinRi edits. I am part of multiple fandoms and love running fan accounts, so I decided to make one for #WinRi just to compile all their edits, AUs, etc. I was also surprised the account had several followers (less than 100) by June 4 noon. I reached the daily tweet limit, so I decided to subscribe to premium, using the P175 per month for the first 2 months scheme. I only wanted to compile, so I thought of just using the blue check mark for a month since I am funding myself out of my own fun and passion. By then, other accounts from different fandoms encouraged me to make a GDM for #WinRi so we could share edits. The Trend Party happened because The Manila Times featured us, and my fellow #WinRi shippers encouraged me to start the TP. I’m sure as well that no other funded political campaign will be able to replicate what the #WinRi fandom achieved today, which even I didn’t imagine possible, because our success was made from the fandom skills of various accounts from different fandoms who were driven just by passion, kilig, and the desire to call attention to good governance and the good work Sen. Win and Sen. Risa have done. That being said, I did not expect this account to go mainstream. Since it unexpectedly has gone mainstream, if Sen. Win or Sen. Risa ever say they are uncomfortable with this account, then I will very much be willing to close it immediately.
