@Writer_DG it was my mother’s funeral yesterday, and my sister and I decided on this for her coffin during the service (she did the hard work!). Mum was a bit cranky that she won’t be here for book 10, but I’m sure heaven will get a copy. Your books brought her such joy.

Historical fashion and hair people, I've got a question for you: Victorian ladies sometimes had their hair cut off due to fever (eg, in Holmes' "The Adventure of the Copper Beeches"). How short are we talking here? Was it like shoulder length or all the way down to stubble?
