The problem with these fan debates is that the same fans are there every single time. There isn’t any alternate view. They stop becoming fans. They become brands within themselves. Which means they have something to protect. Everything they say is censored by their fear of being potentially cancelled and losing their status. They are essentially politicians. They don’t speak for the fan base. They don’t represent the fan base. Every single Spurs fan I know who isn’t trying to be a social media cuck is over the moon with De Zerbi and has had their perspective on the season transformed from pure dread to real optimism in the space of a few days.
