Some in the Congress, and others, are gloating about TMC’s loss. They need to understand this clearly - the theft of Assam and Bengal’s mandate is a big step forward by the BJP in its mission to destroy Indian democracy. Put petty politics aside. This is not about one party or another. This is about 🇮🇳.

From 2014 to 2020, the BJP kept sweeping state after state, nobody questioned the outcomes. We accepted the results because the national mood was clearly pro-BJP and it was visible on the ground as well. The reason people are now questioning the authenticity of the elections is that, by 2024, Modi had hit a slump. His popularity began to decline, and people started moving toward regional forces. Even staunch BJP supporters could be seen calling out the party’s failures. Yet, somehow, the BJP is now winning more than it ever did during its peak of 2014-2020 They wouldn’t have been able to achieve this without deleting voters across various states, a process they began immediately after the shock of 2024. So no matter how much the analysts try to justify the results, it won’t make the outcome any more convincing.

I think India will have to survive this. We will.

TMC betrayed him in the worst possible manner. Mamata refused seat-sharing. Went solo. Told Bengal “Congress = BJP.” Congress workers were wiped off the map in Bengal for 14 straight years. Today, after TMC lost Bengal, Rahul Gandhi was the FIRST to say: “We agree with Mamata ji. More than 100 seats were stolen in Bengal.” Not because he had to. Not because it helps Congress. Because he genuinely believes in protecting democracy; even when it costs him nothing politically to stay silent. THAT is moral courage. THAT is leadership. And he’s absolutely right about the pattern: 📌 Madhya Pradesh — stolen 📌 Haryana — stolen 📌 Maharashtra — stolen 📌 Lok Sabha 2024 — stolen 📌 Bengal 2026 — stolen 📌 Assam 2026 — stolen Same playbook. Same EC. Same BJP. Different state. Same result. BJP doesn’t win elections anymore. It manufactures them. And while every regional leader was busy protecting their own throne; one man has been fighting BJP in every single state, every single year, without a break, without fear, without asking what’s in it for him. Rahul Gandhi doesn’t pick easy battles. He picks necessary ones. The opposition can keep waiting for a “perfect leader.” They are looking at him right now, and still not seeing it. 2029 is winnable. But ONLY if the opposition stops wasting time doubting the one man BJP fears the most. No EVM can steal what people build together. And no leader is building that harder than Rahul Gandhi. 🇮🇳🔥

The Modi trap 🪤 The only way to not get entrapped in such an oxymoronic state of affair’s, is to not contest Elections and focus on exposing the Dictator continuously and consistently. Contesting one, getting consolation prices, unwanted by the Dictator and accusing the Dictator for his ‘fixed’ victory, is willingly walking into the Modi Trap. Every party contesting Elections are enmeshed in Modi Trap.

I had already cautioned that @BhagwantMann might quietly park MLAs in Delhi to serve BJP’s interests. Now, with Raghav Chadha meeting the President barely 90 minutes before him on the same day, the sequence raises more questions than answers. At this pace, @ArvindKejriwal may find that the next ‘surprise’ comes a little too soon—even for him. And let’s not forget—Sunil Jakhar had dropped a hint yesterday. @AamAadmiParty and @BJP4India are two sides of the same coin. @INCIndia @INCPunjab

For those who as usual are targeting Congress, please note that it’s only the Congress that has defeated an incumbent BJP Govt since 2014. INC defeated BJP in Madhya Pradesh INC defeated BJP in Chattisgarh INC defeated BJP in Rajasthan INC defeated BJP in Karnataka INC defeated BJP in Himachal INC-JMM defeated BJP in Jharkhand Even in the times of BJP’s domination, capture of institutions and media, infinite resources, relentless attacks on Rahul Gandhi, the Congress has defeated an entrenched BJP govt and captured power. No regional party has done this. And I don’t think any regional party can do it as well without INC. Only Rahul Gandhi and Congress can pushback and eventually win against BJP’s onslaught.

Just look at trajectory. Shiv Sena and NCP split, AAP lost Delhi a year ago and 7 MPs just split and joined BJP. RJD lost Bihar badly last year. Last woman standing was TMC in Bengal with her super articulate MPs; and last men standing were DMK that raised issues linked to federal structure. That’s it really. The next big state force to be put to the test will be SP in Uttar Pradesh next year.

I spoke to Thiru Vijay and congratulated him on TVK’s spectacular result. This mandate reflects the rising voice of youth which cannot, and will not, be ignored. My heartfelt thanks to the Congress workers of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry for their hard work and support. I reiterate that the Congress party will continue to protect and serve the people of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

After Kerala, it’s now Punjab’s turn. This victory is not just a win—it’s a signal of people’s trust and a wave of change. Every Congressi in Punjab must rise with renewed energy and determination. 2027 is our moment. Let’s take this momentum to every village, every booth, every home. New energy. New vision. कांग्रेस के समय खड़ी हुई पार्टियां बीजेपी के समय में तबाह हो रही हैं। ज्यादातर क्षेत्रीय पार्टियां कांग्रेस से अलग हुए नेताओं ने बनाई थीं। उन्हें बीजेपी लील रही है। राहुल गांधी चाहते थे कि पूरा इंडिया गठबंधन SIR पर मिलकर लड़ाई लड़े। उन्होंने तीन प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस की, बाकायदा सबूत पेश किया। वे सबूत विश्वसनीय और चौंकाऊ थे। कर्नाटक, महाराष्ट्र और हरियाणा में किस तरह से वोटर लिस्ट में धांधली हुई, फर्जी वोटर बनाए गए, असली नाम काटे गए। इन सब के बारे में राहुल गांधी ने बात की। तब कोई विपक्षी पार्टी उनके साथ नहीं खड़ी हुई। बिहार में उन्होंने यात्रा भी की, इसके बावजूद इंडिया गठबंधन की पार्टियों ने इस मसले पर उन्हें अलग-थलग करने की कोशिश की। अब बिहार और बंगाल, दोनों राज्यों में नतीजा सामने है। कुछ दशक पहले इस देश में गैर कांग्रेसवाद की एक सनक शुरू हुई थी, जो कमोबेश अभी भी चल रही है। लगभग एक दर्जन पार्टियों को बीजेपी लील गई है। इसके बावजूद क्षेत्रीय दल बीजेपी से बड़ा दुश्मन कांग्रेस को समझते हैं। मेरा यकीन है कि अगर यह सिलसिला चलता रहा तो अंत में कोई क्षेत्रीय दल नहीं बचेगा और फिर जब कांग्रेस अकेली बचेगी तो वह भी नहीं बचेगी। आने वाले समय में एक क्रूर, भ्रष्ट, हिंसक और लोकतंत्र की दुश्मन बन चुकी तानाशाही से वही बचेगा जो लड़ेगा और लड़ने को कोई तैयार नहीं है। हमारी चिंता कोई पार्टी नहीं है, बल्कि वह भारतीय लोकतंत्र है जिसे रोज रौंदा जा रहा है।

As a Congressi, happy with the Kerala win, but Assam & WB going BJP still doesn’t sit right. Big surprise: TVK’s rise shaking Dravidian politics. Yet I feel for Stalin he backed Rahul Gandhi Ji for PM. And even for Mamata Banerjee, despite her anti-Congress stance. Strange thing!
