For @TVKVijayHQ the real test starts only now. So much he needs to do to strengthen his organisation calibre , meet people expectation , his ministers capability, decision making skills , etc. Now it is a virgin , inexperienced , vulnerable organisation who have to protected against the might and strength of DMK, ADMK, BJP etc. Otherwise other parties might lure their leaders with money and can break into two or three parts easily.

As public, we've sadistic pleasure in saying the defeated political parties have no future. In India we follow what is known as 'First past the post' electoral system. A candidate wins even if he has one vote more than the next person, even if they share the same vote percentage. Usually the difference between winner and loser is only few percentages. And this few percentages usually come from neutral voters, who decides on the party based on that particular election. They are not loyal voter base of a particular party. If the winner gets 33% and the loser 29%, you need to understand the difference is just 4%, mostly of neutral voters. They can change their mind in any way during next elections. So the ruling party always need to be on it's toes so that they can come to power again. The opposition should not be laid back and be proactive because they also stand a chance to come back to power in the next elections.

@priyankac19 BJP is very fortunate to have a such divisive, fragmented, dysfunctional , short sighted chaotic opposition . No one can destroy BJP. Only BJP can dig its own grave.

The kind of gloating coming from within own India Alliance over the failure of TMC and DMK is shameful to see. Saw similar boasting when Arvind Kejriwal, Tejaswi Yadav (part of India Alliance) lost and in AAP’s recent split. And now are aiming their guns at Akhilesh Yadav for the upcoming UP elections. These divides are exactly what the voters reject and BJP exploits. 2024 was not one party leading the way in the opposition, it was a joint collaborative effort by all parties combined. So please back off and remember the spirit of why India Alliance came about in the first place.

Once I was a BJP supporter. I know the kind of work Annamalai did. The entire state unit is nothing but leeches. They all ganged up against Annamalai because they were extremely jealous of him. Better Amit Shah can dissolve the state unit. BJP is now practically non existent in Tamil Nadu.

I feel truly bad for him. He led with the best intention and, while he made some avoidable mistakes like anyone else, his commitment was unmatched. He was easily the most hardworking Chief Minister in the country. A true gentleman in every sense of the word.

Time to say farewell to DMK. In my view, they gave good governance. Time to welcome TVK, Vijay. A non dravidian party is coming to power in Tamil Nadu after six decades. This is a complete surprise. I must confess I didn't see a team, as studded with stars as #MumbaiIndians is, come apart like this. The only possible indicator could have been that, Bumrah apart, the others hadn't had an outstanding T20WC. But nobody could have predicted this. I had thought aloud about a hypothesis on my YT channel that reputation is becoming a burden in modern T20 cricket as a possible reason. I don't know if all the forces within were aligned but that could be another. And the experiment with Hardik Pandya as captain is now 3 years old and it has delivered a play-off only once so maybe something isn't working there.
