I’ll admit that Kendrick was more technical in the beginning of his career than he is now, but why do people try to use that against him like he can’t be technical or as if he lacks the skill?
I think people misunderstand his technical abilities for what his actual artistic goals are.

Why do ppl ALWAYS want Kendrick to prove that he belongs in the conversation??
His priority is emotional performance, he’s no longer trying to impress you niggas, he wants you to feel.
He gave us a 9 minute emotional confessional from multiple perspectives with psychological layers & niggas wanna discredit him cause of some fucking technical skills like complexity is better than quality. Do you know how difficult it is to write a song like Mother I Sober?
