@MyroDev what i would have liked instead is have a more granular system of auto blocking avis. Yes i know they wanna encurrage ppl to make better avis but thats just not gonna happen. But an option to just set a poli count limit or a material count limit and block all avis above that

there will be ppl like me who want many toggles on their avis and those ppl just wont ever go to event worlds even as a first time experiance since we just arnt allowed anymore (which is fine) 3/?

@MyroDev and the worst part for me is that you can circumvent this gate by paying ingame currency, so vrc is incentivised to block as many ppl as possible to get a bigger cut

@MyroDev my question is why are we even introducing performance rating gates if everyone has tools to automatically and selectively block avis. You mentioned culling or for example blocking avis based on performance rating.

@MyroDev and if ppl are to lazy/unknowing to set up those settings even if they lagg vrc should make a benchmark that prompts you as a new user to set those settings correctly based on system specs or atleast tell ppl hey you're lagging might wanna change some settings

Some are suggesting increasing the avi poly limit to 120k. An 80-person instance of 120k avis is +/- 9.6 million tris. That's +/- 19.2 million tris with directional lights on. Increasing the avi limit has an exponential effect on event world performance. These are the numbers.

For event world creators, going anywhere above 1 million tris will start to tank FPS in VR. An 80-person instance of 70k avatars is 5.6 million tris. Factor in what directional lights do to tris in Unity (which is required for VRSL lights), that doubles to +/- 11.2 million tris.
