Guardians had a rookie at 106 pitches entering the ninth with a no hitter going & they didn’t have a single guy warming in the pen!? He gave up a single on the first pitch of the ninth & they’ve had to leave him in to go 110+…

Messick through 112 pitches in 8 innings. Those starting pitchers you’re mentioning in combined no hitters threw 100+ pitches in 6 or 7 innings. Thats why they had to become combined no hitters. This is not some outlandish thing that transpired; especially for a franchise trying to get their first no hitter in 45 years.
