I like Dembélé and it’s been really nice seeing his career blossom since leaving Barça and it fills me with immense joy that he’s having a better career than Mbappé in terms of trophies and individual awards. However I find it a bit pathetic how his season essentially started in March, he only has 9 league starts / 930 minutes played in Ligue 1 in May yet he’s currently odds on favourite to win the Ballon D’or. I feel like the Ballon D’or should be given to the BEST player over the course of a season not the best player of the team that won the Champions League.
