Today marks 6 months sober. Not a drop of alcohol in 6 whole months. Did not think I’d be able to make it this far. Feel unbelievably better and actually quite proud of myself. To some this is a small thing but for someone who has struggled with alcohol… massive. #Sober

Bought a fancy end-of-bed fan before the London heatwave began and - honestly - this is the single greatest purchase of my life

This was basically every bin in the park. There are two problems: Lazy people who litter. Bins not being emptied often enough during busy weather. Once bins overflow, people just dump stuff beside them and the entire park becomes a mess.

“We never worried about that years ago.” “Dogs used to go up chimneys in 45c heat” 😂 Yes and people also used to say ADHD wasn’t real, smoking was healthy and seatbelts were unnecessary. It’s 2026. We have more information now. Act like it.

Arguing dogs are fine being walked in 30°C+ heat in 2026 is the same energy as people insisting ADHD isn’t real because “we never had that before”. We did. We just know more now.

The “we used to do it and they were fine” crowd really struggle with the fact that it’s 2026 and we now have actual information about dogs overheating in 30°C+ heat. Being stubborn isn’t the same as being right.

This temperature now is perfect. 20 degrees. Slight breeze. The sun not scorching your face off. Lovely stuff.

People out there walking their dogs in this heat You shouldn’t own a dog Pure and simple Cunts… Get up earlier and walk them and make sure in by 10-11 or walk them After 5pm… Simple really…

Out at 6:23am it’s 18 degrees. Walking mine before the heat like a responsible dog owner. Park is full of like minded people. As it should be.

@Peter_Croden Yes and yes. It’s not leaving them in cars. It’s not running them around for hours. It’s a 30 minutes stroll then home for a nice slurp of water. You’re virtue signalling.

People walking dogs in this heat. Thick as mince

Been working in and around pet care since I was 17 and there are still people that take their dogs on walks in 20 degrees plus heat. If there’s one thing I’ve learnt in my time, it’s that British people are ignorant, selfish and think they know best.

Every year there's an unbearable heat wave for about a week, where I seriously consider dropping £600 on an AC unit, which then subsides so I don't bother. And then I repeat the same doom loop the following year.

People are like What about dog owners in Spain or Australia? They walk them early doors or later at night not in the midday blazing heat you prat Having to explain that to someone is crazy.
