I genuinely hate this awful argument so much, to the point it makes me never want to read that damn manga.
People ALWAYS use out of context panels of the MV to act like Sonic having doubts is a bad thing, when usually in the very next page he's back to pushing through it.

the difference here really is night and god damn day. im not sorry. but the manga really is how sonic SHOULD be written, and idw is how a fan would write sonic. it clearly isnt that hard to write sonic CORRECTLY.

When it comes to this convo, it feels like folks take it to one extreme. Sonic can definitely be cocky, but he’s not really arrogant. That’s not to say he can’t be at times, but I think an important part of Sonic’s character is despite all of that, he’s still humble.(1/4)
