@DeonnaPurrazzo The best part is when you make appointments for specialty care, waiting 3-6 months for said appointment, only for a week out they cancel it for no reason at all. I’m thankful to have VA healthcare, but they need to do better.

Imagine being a veteran.
You get hurt at work and need a note from your doctor to return full-time.
You call the VA and leave voicemail after voicemail to see your primary. No one calls you back.
You go to the VA ER. They clear you BUT they can’t write the note, only your primary care doctor can do that.
You explain you’ve tried and they tell you: “Just walk in tomorrow. They’ll see you. I put a note in your file.”
The next day you go and ask to be seen. They tell you: “You need an appointment.”
You tell them what the ER said, about the note in your file.
Then someone comes out and says:
“We called you this morning and left a voicemail.”
You check your phone.
No call.
No voicemail.
This is what our veterans deal with EVERY SINGLE DAY. … A system that makes it impossible to get the care they are promised.
