There is a silent war in the Luhya community that no one wants to talk about. But I am here to talk about it. In 2013 Musalia Mudavadi ran for President under ANC and got 483981 votes. The bulk of those votes came from his Maragoli subtribe. The rest came from across the country. Mudavadi comes from Maragoli, the second largest Luhya subtribe after the Bukusu. During that election most Bukusu did not vote for him. They backed Raila Odinga. Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna is Bukusu and so is Moses Wetangula. The Luhya community has 19 subtribes. Like interns in Pastor Ezekiels church, all of them speak different dialects. A maragoli can not understand what Bukusu says unless they use Kiswahili or a sign language. Right now the other 18 subtribes are quietly fighting the Bukusu. They are saying when Maragoli had a serious presidential candidate in 2013 Bukusu rejected him. They are now threatening to teach saying teach Sifuna a lesson he will never forget in the event his name will appear in the ballot. As a son of this community Sifuna knows this and that is probably why he has not come out clearly to declare his stand. He knows his base is shaky. In Luhya politics your own people do not automatically guarantee you victory. The Luhya community could be the first people to throw Sifuna away and replace him with another candidate even an outsider. That is also why you are seeing President Ruto actively courting Wycliffe Oparanya to be his running mate next year. He knows the Bukusu Maragoli fault line and he is playing it because it is easier to fracture than the mountain. This is what you wont be told but I am here to tell you because you deserve to know.

Some salaried Kenyans are so mean! They’re very angry about being deducted the Housing Levy, but they refuse to understand how that money is changing lives! For instance, people in public service who were earning 30k in 2022 have seen the government increase ranks and salaries almost every year. Today, many of them are earning between 45k and over 50k. Yet the Housing Levy is not even 1,000 bob , it’s only 750 if you’re earning 50k. Meaning you’re already earning almost 50% more than what you used to get! But look at what that money is doing! Almost 300,000 youths are now working on sites because of that little sacrifice. Someone else is paying their bills and supporting their families while transforming Kenya because of your sacrifice. Look at the tears of joy the new occupants, especially in Kibra and Mukuru, are shedding. Slums are being transformed courtesy of that little sacrifice, and all Kenyans can live in dignity. The Affordable Housing Project is supporting the steel industry, cement, iron sheets, furniture, and more. Everyone is winning!

Well-designed pedestrian links, public spaces, and last-mile connectivity increase foot traffic, stimulate business growth, generate employment, enhance land values, and improve urban mobility while reducing congestion and travel time. Let woodpeckers, Pharisees, Sadduccees and the scribes start punching holes into this proposal but Singapore is real and the journey has started.

Many Kenyans are noisy, thinking that by being noisy they'll apear sharp. The noisiest of them all is H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, EGH and his sycophants. Yesterday at about 7 am , President William Samoei Ruto ran a trailer that heralded the Speech he was going to read in the evening. The trailer was about a New Vision and a National Conversation. Go and rewatch it. Wamunyoro did not predict anything. The President had already revealed his intentions before the Speech .

Kibaki launched Vision 2030 in 2008, knowing well that his final term was ending in 2012. Because Governments do not stop after leaders exit the office. President Ruto has introduced Vision Beyond 30. He is exiting the State House in 2032. Clearly , his Vision for Kenya is NOT anchored to his two terms. In fact, his vision for Kenya has no business to do with Terms. Well , I’m shocked at the level of ignorance and ILLITERACY that the Wantam brigade has exhibited today. May God bless Kenya.

It calls on us to expand opportunity, uphold human dignity, create wealth and improve the lives of every citizen. Healthcare, quality education, affordable housing and food security must become measurable realities for every Kenyan. Consequently, we will on 12th August, 2026, launch a nationwide public consultation that will bring together citizens from every walk of life - young people, professionals, businesses, faith leaders, academia, workers and civil society - to build a shared vision for our nation's future. Together, we will define the next chapter of Kenya's story and build an industrialised, globally competitive and prosperous nation for generations to come.
