See that part of the description where it say it can 'Automate login and tasks on churchofjesuschrist.org' Like I said before , there is no 'Audit' task in LCR. So this tool can't do an audit. It could automate generating a list of expenses paid out, but it won't evaluate them to determine if they were valid or not.

Depends what you mean by 'want to' if by that you mean 'horny' then no, women's desire is reactive, man's is proactive. If he feels desire for her, her default response should be to go for it, let him stir up that desire inside her and then satisfy it. She doesn't have to be horny, just willing to participate and before long she'll feel horny too. 'No, I don't feel horny' is the wrong approach. If there is some kind of external reason to say no, like she is sick, or there just isn't time, or she is upset with him over something, then certainly she should decline AND do what she can to remove the obstacle as soon as possible. If she wants her happiness and emotional well being to be a high priority to him then she better make his a high priority to her, and sex is a key part of that for him. I would recommend the book 'The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands'

@lorddarrin Correct. Both parties should only have sex if they want to. There’s a word for having sex with someone who doesn’t want to. Can you think what that might be?

Dear men, As a general rule, if you make sex enjoyable for your wife, she will want more of it. There are exceptions to the rule, (trauma histories, medical issues, intimacy breakdowns, etc), but broadly speaking, this is a good place to start. If she knows you’re approaching sex as something to which you are entitled as opposed to an opportunity to bless, it’s probably not going to inspire feelings of romance.

I agree, and would add that women need to allow themselves to enjoy it. They need to engage sexually without shame, without apprehension, without a 'fine, hurry up and get it over with' attitude. They need to relax into it, enjoy the ride. They need to teach their man what works for their body and give him (and themselves) the time to make the full trip. Faking it, rushing it, those are things women do that block their own pleasure.

The Ward Finance Clerk does all that when he sets up the expense for approval before the Bishop sees a thing about it. The Bishop can also easily check it as he approves it if it doesn't seem right to him. The Stake audit will review it too. What you are suggesting adds more work for the Bishop.

I would never do it (nor suggest it) but this is how I would ease the job of a bishop with AI: Log into my account. Go to the expenses page. Ask the AI assistant to check each expense to see whether the claimed expense matched the receipt (including sales tax) correctly, then report back if any expenses didn't match the receipt. I think this is likely what this bishop did and the AI assumed that clicking the approve button for valid expenses was also part of what it had been asked to do.

I know of a Bishop who uses an AI assistant for work. One day he used the assistant to audit the ward finances. Then, without asking, the AI decided to further assist by logging into his church account and approving expenses…

I get that, but LCR has no functionality to provide the level of detail that would be needed for AI to know if some expense was valid or not. You can generate a report of what expenses were paid out to who, how much and what the stated reason was, but that wouldn't include the supporting documents. Many times supporting documents are paper rather than digital. And without training how would AI know if 6 tents, 20 pizzas, a ton of crayons, and a TV stand were valid things to be expensed? How is it going to know that providing a family of 4 with all their groceries for a month, and paying their housing expenses too is not the result of some kind of scam?

Without training on a large data set of expenses and an understanding of church finance policies an AI would have no way to evaluate if an expense was valid or not. AI could make an evaluation as to whether the data entered for the expense matches the supporting documentation, however people still submit paper receipts for the documentation and AI won't have access to that. Even more annoying is that someone turns in a receipt where 90% of the stuff on it is for their own personal use and you have to pick out the items they indicate are church expenses and figure out which of them have sales tax applied etc. to confirm the amount to be refunded to the member. Lastly, the Bishop already sees and approves each expense. If he had any question about the validity of one, he can just not approve it till he is satisfied. He can also go back and review the details of any expense without AI.

I don't know the details of how the AI got access. I use AI a ton but not the agentic models. I do know, however, it started approving expenses. Thinking through through it a bit more, I believe this is most likely the flow of events. 1. He was already logged into the website. 2. He thought, why don't I ask Claude Cowork to search through these pages and assess the ward finances and check for any invalid expenses. 3. He gave AI the permissions to do so. 4. The AI got a little trigger happy and decided to approve the expenses it assessed as valid.

No, you are not being abused if your wife doesn’t want to have sex with you. Be serious. Maybe there’s an intimacy breakdown that’s partially your fault. Maybe she’s processing sexual trauma. Maybe it’s physically painful for her. Man up. Stop playing the victim like a petulant child. Tend to her heart and cultivate emotionally intimacy, and see what happens.

There is a difference between being unavailable now and then due to external factors, and a callous disregard for your spouse's feelings and needs. If there is an obstacle is to having a mutually satisfying sex life, you should go out of your way to address your part of that. Make it a priority.

People keep saying this, but what in Genesis 1 contradicts scientific research: - that the universe began to exist a finite time ago - that the Earth was formed a finite time ago - that oceans appeared, then land - that plant life emerged first - that animal life began in the oceans - that land-based and flying animals came later - that humans appeared later - that human consciousness was the last big development? Genesis says first the universe was created, then the stars, then it zeroes in on Earth and describes the development of its surface from unformed and chaotic to brimming with life, starting with less complex and progressing to more complex lifeforms. How is this scientifically wrong? This is incredible knowledge for uneducated, backwards, Bronze Age goatherds to possess. Why did it take thousands of years and the rise of modern science for us to rediscover what Genesis 1 says? We only discovered that the universe is finite in age about 100 years ago. But the author of Genesis knew it thousands of years ago. What non-believers typically do is point out a couple of seeming out-of-order events, like the Sun and Moon being made after the Earth or the appearance and description of plant life on day three, and say Genesis is completely unscientific. Even if those events were truly mistakes, it's still incredible that the author of Genesis mostly got it right. But Genesis didn't mostly get it right, the author got it entirely right. The Sun and Moon weren't made after the Earth, but before the Earth on day 2. Genesis says they appear from the surface of the Earth on day 4. Scientifically, we now know it took time for the atmosphere to become sufficiently oxygenated to become transparent. Prior to this, a hypothetical observer on the surface of the Earth would not be able to see any of the great lights in the sky. As for plants on day 3, since the Sun was made on day 2, sunlight filtered through an opaque atmosphere would've reached the surface of the Earth. The description plant life seems a little out of place, since Genesis immediately talks about flowering and seed-bearing plants. But medieval biblical commentators already understood how to resolve this. As Gerald Schroeder explains in 'The Science of God': "When the Bible is relating a topic of immediate but not continuing interest, it condenses the chronology of that topic and presents the entire account in one place rather than break into the narrative at a later point." We clearly see another example of this narrative device in Genesis 11. The point of Genesis 1 is to get from the creation of the universe to humankind to the line of Abraham, so the author keeps things moving. The problem with modern readers and Genesis is that they're looking back on Genesis from the perspective of, "Duh, we already know this stuff scientifically." But look at it from a perspective that's contemporary with Genesis. Compare it with the Babylonian account of creation to see what a stark contrast there is. I've linked it below. The Enuma Elish is a political myth focused on wars and personal clashes, like a super-violent soap opera about gods and monsters, from which human emergence is almost beside the point. Genesis 1 is utterly unique in its austerity and matter-of-fact description of a stepwise development of the universe, Earth, and life on Earth that culminates with the deliberate creation of the most complex form of life on Earth - human beings. The criticism leveled against Genesis 1 as contra-science isn't supported by the evidence. worldhistory.org/article/225/en…

@sarahsalviander Genesis 1 is false. It contradictions tons of scientific research. Even if there was a beginning with a creator, it doesn't mean any religion is true.

@Hania16836 Might tend to be true if the husband or wife dies young, but everyone is unique. My father passed away and my mom lived as a widow for 10 years till she passed. My mother in law passed away and my father in law was married again in less than a year.

If you know what is the point of waiting and who cares what anyone else thinks? I met my future wife 4 years before I ended my mission and I knew she was the one from the first night (she didn't know right away, and I was smart enough to not scare her off by coming on too strong). The day we got back together after my mission I told her I knew she was the right person, I just didn't know what the right time was. Six weeks after I got back I knew the when and popped the question. I didn't have a car, I had just started post secondary education and had no job, no money, and she still said yes. Six months later we were married. That was over 35 years ago.

I feel the need to clarify: We dated for 7 months before she left on her mission, and I decided I wanted to wait for her. We email on mondays, and we already agree that we want to get married. I haven’t talked with her parents yet, but I think I’ll be able to this summer. She returns in December. Do I wait weeks? Months? I’ve never done this before 😂 so I don’t know what is acceptable

I met a girl who: -Once debated her entire high school psychology class (in Seattle) about how transgender people are mentally ill -has seen all of Star Wars, including clone wars and rebels -is serving a mission right now -likes going to the gym -her parents like me -gets better grades than me -listens to all my yaps How long should I wait before proposing after her mission?

This woman doesn’t want the car dealership’s logo on her car that she just bought from them. She takes a heat gun and removes the logo. I thought it was just me that it drives crazy but apparently not. If people are going to be driving around advertising for a dealership, shouldn’t the dealership pay you? 💯 Many said they won’t leave the dealership unless they remove it. Also, don’t want the dealership license player frame either. Does the car dealership logo bother you? Have you ever given it much thought? Or, do you think people like that are being ridiculous?

I mean, come on! An ancient submarine? Sealed top and bottom? A stoppable air-hole? Sixteen glowing stones touched by the finger of God on a mountaintop to see in the dark? How did Joseph Smith think he'd get away with this crazy story? Turns out, every detail he described has been uncovered in MULTIPLE ancient texts which were UNKNOWN in 1829!
