HBO made the Targaryens too attractive and accidentally removed what made them unsettling in the books. The difference between these two photos says everything. One looks like descendants of an ancient dragonlord empire obsessed with blood purity and prophecy. The other just looks like beautiful people in silver wigs. Book Valyrians weren’t supposed to feel normal.
