frontrunning getting out in front of everyone else.
put simply, frontrunning is when everyone else is looking the other way and you’re looking the right way. think of early btc buyers or those who got into wif, bonk, pepe, eth they got in before the crowd. the thesis isn’t complicated: imagine the first meme. If a meme cycle is about to kick off, what would the price of that very first meme be? here’s an image that’ll help you see what it looks like to be early on a narrative.
what this image shows is the adoption curve. Innovators whether in a specific niche or across a broader area spot a problem and build the tech to fix it. they’re the first to believe it’ll take off and help shape the future. early adopters come a bit later; they’re believers too and get heavily involved. the early majority sit in the middle you’re no longer an early mover but part of the mainstream. laggards are the ones who get left behind. If you want to frontrun, be an innovator: get in on the ground floor, spot opportunities before everyone else, and act ahead of the crowd that’s where the money’s made.
Identifying the narrative.
there are plenty of questions to ask, but one of the most important is which parts of the world need it the most. before AI took off, most people wouldn't have guessed a chatbot could help out with almost anything. back in 2015 you might have said, no I don't need AI, I can get by with wikipedia. but now, if AI suddenly disappeared overnight, most people would be at a loss.
We're hooked on AI now. people have gotten lazy and want stuff that's easy and low effort. nothing complicated. nothing overengineered.
those who offer this kind of product will come out on top, and anyone who spots it early will reap the rewards.
how to tell which part of the cycle we're in and when to get out.
I think this is one of the easiest questions you can ask yourself. at this point you've probably already gone through dozens of x's.
>ask yourself: how much attention is this getting lately?
>what were the numbers when you got in and what are they now?
>is anyone talking about it on social media, on the streets, in cafes?
>are the charts or any other indicators through the roof?
>how far in the green are you?
these questions should help you figure out the right time to exit. you will never be lucky enough to hit the exact top, of course, but at least it means the cycle is past the innovators phase.
