Donald Trump: the biggest problem I have with NATO…If the United States was in trouble and we called them. We said, 'We got a problem, France.' Do you think they're goning to come and protect us? They're supposed to. I'm not so sure.
(After 9/11, all NATO members invoked Article 5, with many fighting in Afghanistan and some joining the U.S.-led coalition in Iraq.)
