@Concertaftamine It’s hilarious you believe this. You think for a single second the US gives one fuck about maritime law right now, you’re just another’s fools proxy.

🚨 “TOTAL BLOCKADE”? IRAN’S COASTAL LOOPHOLE IS KEEPING OIL FLOWS ALIVE 👉 Donald Trump claims a “total blockade” on Iran, but observed tanker movements suggest a materially different operational reality. Reports indicate at least 34 Iranian-linked tankers reaching India, directly contradicting the notion of a fully sealed maritime perimeter. The gap is not rhetorical—it is legal and geographic. 👉 The workaround is procedural and geographic rather than confrontational. Iranian cargoes are reportedly routed along Iran’s own coastline toward Pakistan, avoiding exposure in open international waters where interdiction authority is strongest. By remaining within or close to coastal jurisdictions, the vessels minimize interception risk. 👉 The legal mechanism underpinning this is the Innocent Passage doctrine under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. This framework obliges coastal states—including Pakistan and India—to permit transit through their territorial seas so long as passage is continuous and non-threatening. In practical terms, it constrains third-party enforcement actions and creates legally protected transit corridors. 👉 Once tankers enter these coastal lanes, external enforcement—particularly by the United States—faces sharp jurisdictional limits. Interdiction in another state’s territorial waters without consent would constitute a breach of sovereignty, making enforcement politically and legally escalatory rather than routine. 💎 Bottom line: The blockade exists in formal policy terms, but maritime law and coastal routing create exploitable gaps. Iran is not breaking the blockade—it is navigating around it. Source: Wall Street Research Center (YT) #Iranwar#Geopolitics#StrategicAnalysis

@zriboua @LokiJulianus And the hundreds of millions of gallons already on tankers, or the ability to transfer ship to ship with a non offending tanker. This is not a sustainable strategy. Meanwhile Iran is still collecting their toll on each ship that passes through.

The IRGC shot itself in the foot. Iran’s available alternatives outside the strait can replace less than 10 percent of Gulf throughput. Before the war, inflation was running above 40 percent, the currency had lost more than 80 percent of its value over the preceding decade, and the shadow fleet Tehran had assembled to smuggle oil and fund IRGC operations was already straining under accumulated sanctions enforcement. Recruitment had collapsed so severely under the weight of unpaid salaries and economic asphyxiation that the IRGC was reportedly pulling 12-year-olds into its ranks. A sustained U.S. naval blockade renders continued resistance suicidal. open.substack.com/pub/zinebribou…

Still laughing about CBS having a billion cameras on the 18th hole at the Masters and somehow still missed having any idea where both guys approach shots on 18 went and had a camera shot where you couldn’t see the hole for Rory’s winning putt.

My grandfather was a Cubs fan and passed it onto my dad, who passed it to me and my brother Their World Series win is my favorite sports memory ever. My least favorite is going to a game vs. the Rays and having Kerry Wood throw a ball to me that was intercepted by an adult

@_John_Shipley How does a lifelong OP boy become a Cubs fan instead of a Braves fan?
