@Gweesy Please be advised, we no longer provide food waste liners to street level properties. These are not needed for food waste to be collected. Instead, you can use food waste caddies without a liner, purchase your own, or use brown paper bags or newspaper to line your caddy.

Had a good call with the London Mayors office. To get the 4x4’s to Ukraine we need the Government, not the Mayor, to allow the scrapage scheme rules to allow a donation as well as a destruction. Perhaps @10DowningStreet and @DefenceHQ will help? I be asking them

Friends from London and the UK - is there really nothing that can be done about this? Ukraine really needs these vehicles. The whole story is spelled out in the article linked below. Here is a short summary from what I've been able to gather from it: London mayor has proposed an initiative to reduce emissions in the city. It concerns older cars - if they do not meet certain requirements, they should be disposed of (and then the owner receives a one-time payment). If not, then a daily fine must be paid. Many of these vehicles that now are "destined" towards scrappage, are exactly the kind of cars Ukraine desperately needs on the frontlines (cars don't live long there, but they save lives in many, many ways. So it really is one of the most needed items for our Defenders). So Kyiv mayor wrote to the mayor of London Sadiq Khan, asking him to send these cars to Ukraine instead of just disposing of them. Recently, Mr. Khan replied that this would be impossible due to some legal issues. I understand that things need to be done properly. But I also know that some things are too important. Saving human lives as Ukraine fights against Russia is really important. Rules need to serve people, not vice versa. Hence my question to all who might be able to help: What can be done? For children like Arianna, cancer doesn’t just impact their childhoods, they also face long-term side effects.
Research into kinder & more gentle treatments is desperately needed.
