Just so new followers and potential followers know what I look for while I'm vetting you (not judging you...big difference), here's my how-to list that I've compiled with my own brief time here, and the wisdom I've gained from those that have gone before me: 1) A bio and photo...it really is important, as it gives me some sense of who you are, at a glance. 2) A pinned post of something that's important to you or descriptive of you. 3) When I scroll down your posts, will I see endless 'follow trains' or more personal shout-outs of your own and others? I ask this because I've found that follow trains draw bots by the score, and seemingly diminished exposure. 4) Will I find personal posts in your own writing, or just a stream of other people's posts? I understand that not everyone is good at expressing themselves, but if instead of just Reposting (which doesn't help those that are monetized), and time allows, a quick little statement of your own in a Quote (which does help the monetized) gives me a sense of who you are. 5) Will I get the sense that your sole focus is monetization to the exclusion of any real engagement beyond click-bait questions? If so, you do you, as this is soon to be a free Country again, but I'm not going to respond to it, and I will be checking to see if you drop me if I don't...I will respond in kind. 6) What will I see for a follow to follower ratio? If I see that the number of people you follow is significantly lower than the number that follow you, I'm naturally going to assume that you'll drop me soon, and saying IFB or IFBAP means nothing to you. 7) Lastly, am I going to see that you only value Blue Checkmarks? As someone that didn't have one for a year and a half, and only recently got one, this has become a pet peeve. I see it as arrogant and shallow, and just another means of sowing Class Division...did we learn nothing from 12 years under the Obama/Biden regime?! In summation, I vet for my own peace and the peace of those I follow. After 16+ years of debate/argument, I'm now only trying to build my own community of like-minded people, so that I have somewhere to go to soak up and share positivity. Couldn't we all use that?

@GypsyHamilton Amen!!!! Watching this story unfold has been both heartbreaking and hopeful. I’d love to know who the neighbors are… I’m sure I’m not alone.

The laws need to be changed to where an annoying neighbor can't make unsubstantiated claims, and an innocent dog and its family get punished. This family and Lucy are not alone, as this has happened before, it's likely happening now, and it will happen again. #SaveLucy 🙏

I agree, Laura! When this is over and Lucy is back home - I say WHEN, not if - we plan to start pushing for reforms to dangerous dog laws, which all too often are death sentences for dogs that are declared dangerous, even if they were wrongly adjudicated or were agreed to under pressure. Not all dogs declared dangerous really are dangerous, but a dangerous dog declaration, once given, is not reviewable (at least here in Virginia), except for a very narrow window. That's unfair. It's not right. These are peoples' beloved family members we're talking about. The only thing saving Lucy right now is that I have a story to tell about her. If not for that, her story, as remarkable as it has been, would have little chance at a happy ending. I want to fight for the next guy this happens to, who may not have the story to tell that I have to tell about my Lucy. I'd love to have your help in that fight. Thank you 🫡

Pet Sitter Accused in Yorkie Death Continues Promoting Services Online A Missouri family hired a pet sitter, Gabrielle Hopp. through the neighborhood app Nextdoor to care for their two beloved dogs, Rosie and Violet, while they went on vacation. Before the family even returned home, Rosie, a 5-year-old, 13-pound Yorkie, was dead. According to investigators, video evidence captured a violent attack after Rosie briefly escaped the home. Court documents say the recording includes sounds of the dog “gasping and choking,” while the sitter struck the dog multiple times and slammed her against the floor. Authorities say blood was later found in the area where the attack occurred. Veterinarians reportedly discovered internal bleeding in Rosie’s abdomen, and the small dog later died from her injuries. The pet sitter has since been charged with animal cruelty in Missouri. It’s outrageous that people may be going to prison for rescuing dogs that are being tortured inside taxpayer funded labs. President Trump should pardon the individuals who were arrested for trying to save the beagles from Ridglan Farms, and then he should sign an executive memorandum BANNING all taxpayer funded animal testing across all federal agencies. I hope we get tons of shares on this post and I hope the @WhiteHouse will stand up for innocent animals that are being abused. I’m sure I don’t agree with the people who were arrested on all of their political views, but we agree that animals who are being abused should be rescued by any means necessary.
