Bill Last’s funeral will take place at Parndon Wood Crematorium, Harlow, on Friday 11th October at 3pm. All welcome. There is a wake afterwards locally. If anyone has any tales or anecdotes (don’t we all?) to share for the service, please get in touch. @AmwellBirding

Bill Last was one of the best birders I ever had the privilege to go birding and twitching with. He always made me smile and laugh with his dry sense of humour. Bill will be greatly missed by many.

@currys Appalling approach to #customersevice . Awaiting a product replacement after damaged delivery, and despite 13 frustrating repetitive calls over 5 weeks, the scripts can’t solve the problem. Curry’s can’t decide on how to replace it and when #dontbuycurrys

Visited Rainham landfill to see extent of damage caused by @VeoliaUK through mowing at height of breeding season (against @Natures_Voice advice) - fears confirmed with vast swathes of habitat trashed. No sign of Corn Bunting previously on territory here - appalling. Please RT
