But all of these things are based on real world military questions which we don't know the answers to: 1) What missile capacity does Iran have left? 2) To what extent can drones (of which Iran has far more) be effectively countered? 3) Can the US militarily reopen the Strait of Hormuz? Iran is holding the rest of the world hostage, and it would also be a crazy precedent to set where you can allow them to get away with doing this There are many things we don't know the answer to. People keep talking about past wars that fit their theories and narratives. But in real time there are tons of things which we don't know know which will seem obvious in the future

This will be a bit long. Iran isn’t stupid. They see our financial headlines of a broke Middle Class, growing debt, and weak Treasury auctions. Let’s just state the facts: Our fiscal irresponsibility has become a huge weakness and imo it has become a major National Security issue for the USA. Iran sees it. They know if they can just hold out for a while and get oil to $200 a barrel there’s a decent chance our whole economy implodes. The consumer was already crippled heading into this war. It won’t take more than a couple months of $200 oil to take our whole economy down. In fact I think it would be a matter of weeks not months. We picked the absolute worst time ever to try and do this. Americans are BARELY scraping by. Many are already sinking into the abyss. Millions more are on the brink of joining them. I personally don’t think the bond market would put up with it either. The credit markets are already shaky. Bank stocks are tanking. Why on earth would we start a trillion dollar war now? They’re using the same WMD argument to attack Iran that they used to attack Iraq. Turned out they had nothing. How many trillions did that cost us before we figured it out? Let’s state the obvious; Economically we cannot afford to do this. On top of that the catastrophic inflation that $200 oil would cause would destroy 10’s of millions of people’s lives. If not more. People would never recover. I really hope cooler heads prevail because we are on the brink of the abyss where we economically destroy ourselves. 🙏
