@AGaines2 @UltiPlanet I think I played in a Friday game at Easterns 2010. Ohio state @pbultimate vs UCSD @airsquids I believe. It was convenient because it was the second weekend of our spring break and we didn’t haven’t to travel far. I think centex maybe also had one last year?

@UltiPlanet Are other tournaments besides Warm Up doing it? I just know it as part of Warm Up because they’ve done it for so long.

@ultimatesascha I think this is the episode that came out after the giants beat the 18-0 patriots and my friends were over for the Super Bowl and that intro was just amazing

@Ike_Saul In the example, the woman in the car isn’t able to do anything about the issue. The protest isn’t there to convince her to join the cause. It’s there to put the issue on the mayor’s plate in a more meaningful way. Bring the issue to those who can make change.

@Ike_Saul Yesterday on here I saw a post that said something like the goal of protest isn’t to win the hearts/minds of everyone, but to create a disturbance in the status quo that has enough impact that those in positions of power might make changes.

I wrote about this re: Climate change protests but I really struggle to think of a worse way to demonstrate than blocking traffic. It's dangerous for cities, motorists, protesters, emergency services, etc. It makes ppl hate you/your cause + leads to violent confrontations.

Flick puts a backhand deep — he’s shooting a lot for this Jojah team. Both John Clyde (on defense) and Krugler (on offense) go up too early. Carter Rathur, trailing the play, collects the goal. UGA 4-4 Texas

@FullFieldHammer @RachelleDepner Because I think I’m late game bball scenarios you actually do see O/D specialized subbing. Where the possessions are more distinct and they have the timeouts to allow for all that subbing. (Maybe it’s not a TO thing I don’t actually know bball too well).

@FullFieldHammer @RachelleDepner Was recently talking to some folks about subbing and someone brought up the idea that, if the others sports could sub as often as ultimate, would they? Is it not common in other sports bc we aren’t as athletic, or is it bc their rules don’t provide for it?

@TayaraRomero @FullFieldHammer We tried a version of this on @ATLchain in maybe 2014, it was a Martin idea to do bball subbing, with lines not keyed to O/D. It didn’t last too long (v hot summer tournaments made it difficult to run). Diff than positionless offense (w flexibility between handler/cutter/etc)

@JackHatchett @JoeMama_3 @ish_lukhey All of this was helpful bc I often have confused thoughts about “guarding”, especially as it relates to double teaming in a zone cup. Going to come back to this again.

Wait guys, Kareem passed Wilt for the new record on April 5, 1984. Lebron was born December 30, 1984. Is it possible Lebron was conceived the night Kareem got the record? 👀

@chattim3 I use 3 starting words with 15 unique letters. Then today I was able to correctly guess each word in order rather than bopping around the map to find a word in closest to/confident in (my usual strategy).
