@GazelleStep When people talk about mental stack in fgs, theyre talking about the part of your brain that autopilots vs the part of your brain that consciously thinks. You need to develop both. Autopilot should help gather info so you can make active choices like counterplay you described

Genuinely, how do I stop autopiloting in fighting games? There are so many times where instead of doing the right punish that I know I should be doing in my head that my hands just kinda act before i think it. Is it the unmedicated ADHD or does anyone else do this?

Someone just complained to me how in OBAA Leo is the leader of the French 75 (so it's a white guy leading black women). Huh? Isn't he pretty clearly a hanger-on member? His first lines are how he doesn't even know what the plan is and then he drops out to raise the baby.

@DeadlockAnon Counter point, I think it's really cool she's the only one who can do it and it makes her identity in the game more unique. Most moba rosters get bloated because of lack of uniqueness. Plus yeah everyone can bhop, hers is just more pronounced do to other values.

Should b-hopping be completely removed from deadlock or should it remain exclusive to celeste or should it be available to all characters? It feels a bit unfair that one character in the entire game has the base mobility to b-hop without needing any abilities to do it.

Every teacher I know personally is leaving the profession because students have become unteachable. They don’t read, they don’t talk to each other, they have no curiosity, no passion, no interest in learning. Giving kids unfettered access to screens has ruined a generation.

@nowaylildavid @TorteDeLini Towers start with 70% res and lose it over time so it's near impossible to take pre 4 min. Since there isn't creep wave manipulation, you can get back in time to not miss waves. Kills dont put ppl ahead much (worth less than a wave pre 10 min), but they do slow down making souls

@TorteDeLini My impression is that dying in lane (on deadlock) is not terribly punishing. Idk why that is. I guess cause of turret armor partly but would love someone elses view on this cause i’m very fine with dying. Im not scared even when my teammates go 0/4 or so in lane

In Dota 2, the laning stage is focused on improving because it dictates so much of your mid and even late-game. Efficiency and good fundamentals influence matches more than you think. Is it the same in Deadlock?

@TorteDeLini Its still a huge influence on mid & late game. Core mechanics really change the dynamic compared to Dota. Denying/creep wave manipulation isn't a big thing. You don't really lose much for letting the wave under tower. Efficiency is about doing other stuff on the map between waves
