Solving the Bar beach flooding problem with Eko Atlantic & conceiving the Lekki Free Ttade Zone are enough campaign points if we are a serious country - not just people who want ethnic representation in the presidency.

Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, narrating how Governor Tinubu headhunted him from Morgan Stanley in the US, illustrates how Lagos has been deliberate about the quality of minds that contribute to its continuous growth & development. There are lessons here for those who will learn.

On his 74th birthday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu took a moment to honor the men and women who protect Nigeria every day. He announced a dedicated welfare fund for the Armed Forces, a gesture to recognize their bravery, sacrifices, and the families who stand beside them. “Today, I celebrate the courageous men and women who keep our nation safe,” he said.
He directed the Accountant-General of the Federation to immediately open a special account for the fund, which will support serving personnel, those wounded in the line of duty, and the families of fallen heroes, widows, widowers, and children.
As a personal commitment, President Tinubu pledged to contribute all his salaries since taking office as seed funding for the initiative. He also called on State Governors, National Assembly members, the private sector, friends, and well-wishers to come together and support this cause.
The President reminded everyone that caring for our Armed Forces and their families isn’t charity it’s a duty. These are the people who stand in harm’s way so that Nigeria can live in peace, and it’s a responsibility we all share.
