If there's anyone on that list who truly changed, it was Malcom X. I've studied him a lot. He was very different after getting out of prison, and some years later, he destroyed the cult of the Nation of Islam from the power they had in Black America after learning their leader Elijah Muhammad was raping his teenage secretaries and impregnating them. He also became a lot more moderate after leaving the NOI and was quite a bit more civil to whites, Jews, & really everyone following his change. He would often even go on TV and publicly disavow the NOI and apologize for his former rhetoric. And then the NOI assassinated him for calling them out. This is a man who went from shouting to his many supporters, "the white man is the devil," to going on live tv and apologizing for his former rhetoric. To be honest, I think I look up to him more than MLK. He knew the NOI would try to kill him if he left and called them out, yet he did it anyway and died an honest man.
