One pretty bad habit I noticed with vibe coding is I pick up and scroll on my phone while the agent runs Initially it was every so often, but now it’s habitual. I reach for my phone the second I press enter. I’m actually lazier and “slot machine like” which cannot be healthy

one downside of coding with llms is it makes coding *too* enjoyable. coding used to have just enough friction that you'd naturally take a break but now you keep tabbing and prompt while building things, so your brain goes "this is great, let’s keep coding" our brains are wired for dopamine, we get rewarded for completion, not importance. so we naturally gravitate to tasks that feel productive, even if they arent the most valuable. eventually you get stuck in a dopamine loop: build a new feature → instant feedback → dopamine, repeat meanwhile, the harder (but important) stuff (marketing, sales, growth) gets pushed aside which sucks, cause you genuinely feel like you're making progress
