Congratulations Invizij Architects Inc. for winning the Award of Excellence for New Institutional. The Binbrook Library, which is located at the centre of an urbanizing former rural town site, successfully recalls the agricultural character of the surrounding environment.

Congratulations Toms + McNally Design for winning the Award of Excellence for Renovation Residential. This project is also a precedent setting example of “gentle density”. It is the result of the transformation of a former laneway garage into a 79sq.m one bedroom garage suite.

Congratulations Lintack Architects Incorporated for winning the Award of Excellence in Heritagr or Adapituvr Re-Use. The Alley is a sensitive and elegant project, revitalizing three century old underused buildings on a prominent downtown site.

Congratulations harrisonarchitecture inc. for winning the Award or Excellence in Renovation Residential. The controlled and sensitive design integrates the building and the garden through the creation of a courtyard defined by the placement of low walls, stairs and roof planes.

Congratulations mcCallumSather and B+H Architects for winning the Award of Merit for New Institutional. The Joyce Centre for Partnership and Innovation at Mohawk College is a major technological achievement being certified as the first large scale net zero building in Canada.

Congratulations TCA for winning the Award of Merit in New Mixed Use/Commercial. This project employs a simple form and natural materials to create an elegant building that sits comfortably in the ties of grape vines that surround it and recalls vernacular agricultural buildings.
