@Dwaynek79781424 @FoodProfessor Strange how much effort he puts into supply management comments. It would interesting to know what Lobby group is paying him, no normal person would put this much effort into trying to mislead the public so much and often on this.

Unifor is urging Ottawa today not to accept any trade deal that includes auto tariffs. Just one piece of advice—buy a few dairy cows, and you’ll be protected.

The forecasted threat of potential agent of “AgroTerrorism” Fusarium graminearum (FHB or Head Scab) is high across many winter wheat growing areas including #OntAg. Get a T3 fungicide on this year! For those with stripe rust spray decisions get stressful. Ask a #CCA for help.

Billboard Chris 🌎@BillboardChris·
The U.S. exported $1.14 billion worth of dairy into Canada last year, and their dairy industry has an $850 million trade surplus with Canada. Canadian tariffs on U.S. dairy aren’t even being applied. 50,000 metric tons of milk can come into Canada tariff free. Once these thresholds are surpassed, over-quota tariffs apply, which can range from 200% to over 250% depending on the product (e.g., 241% for milk, up to 298% for butter). In practice, however, the U.S. rarely exceeds these quotas. The complaining about unfair trade practices regarding Canadian dairy is particularly interesting when you learn the U.S. dairy industry is highly subsidized by the U.S. government, making it easy for U.S. dairy producers to undercut Canadian ones.

@TimcastNews @BillboardChris Canada's 200% tarriff on US dairy doesn't raise money for Canada It prevents Canadians from buying US dairy as it is too expensive.

@FoodProfessor Walmart here converted to US$ right now makes it 8 cents a litre more. Beef and Pork gas have a higher spread from here to US. Everything more $. Carbon tax to farmers here makes it hard to believe it is only 8cents more. Great cherry pick quota has nothing to do with this one

Trader Joe's in Boston. Take a good look, Canada. It's something you'll never see in our country.

@HighlandWayne Wayne why would the police not charge these guys for stealing, did they mention why? If there are no more charges I worry we may be in for interesting times ahead.

@MdMcLean1 We shipped some wet corn in the fall and carbon charge was +-100 a load Blows my mind that people are still unable to understand why food is so expensive.Worse yet is we are quickly becoming unable to properly compete in the global market because our cost is so artificially high

Carbon tax is a form of income equalization. Majority of ppl who pay higher carbon tax will be higher earners. Majority of ppl receiving more than they paid will be lower earners… Majority of regular folks will fall somewhere in the middle and inflation will continue to climb..

@FarmKid92 @PinstripeAg So I did the right thing and put a nice thick layer of tile stone on the drive way by the house this fall. All the high spots are looked after and no reports of broken windows. 🤜🤛

December is an important month for Christians marking the celebration of advent and the birth of Jesus. My colleague MP @MarilynGladuSL has tabled Bill C-369 to designate December Christian Heritage Month across Canada.
