Well that’s it... the masters is over! 🥳 Coming back to uni was a truly excellent decision & I’ve had an absolute blast this year, thanks, @HCAGrad_Edin! I’ve only just submitted my dissertation but I can’t wait to get back into it in a few weeks’ time with the PhD... 😏

As promised, I turned my notes from @HistorPerspect's writing workshop into a @pubsandpubs post- big thanks to everyone at @HCAGrad_Edin (and #twitterstorians) who sent in advice! (I ignored one of our tips and went way over the word limit to fit everything in... oops) 📝#PhDchat

Really excited to say that I'll be heading to the Library of Congress for six months next year as an @ahrcpress IPS Fellow at the @KlugeCtr! I'll miss @HCAatEdinburgh, but I'm hugely grateful for the opportunity to work with such incredible collections 🇺🇸

For this week's committee post, our Topical Editor @timgalsworthy talks about our PhD inspirations. He attempts to answer that question we are constantly asked by friends, family, and people around us: why on earth would you do a PhD?! buff.ly/2Wwx5tG

An excellent initiative to support BME historians - do apply!
SocialHistorySociety@socialhistsoc
We are launching a new funding scheme to support #BME history alongside the @EcHistSoc and @history_uk. It's a small (but we hope useful) step to address the under-representation and structural inequalities afflicting history in the UK #twitterstorians bit.ly/2HY0oMU
