This year’s conference has played host to engaging & challenging sessions, with some healthy debate. The atmosphere has been friendly and welcoming, with delegates enjoying the company of other #archaeologists and heritage professionals. We’re already looking forward to next year

It’s day two of #CIfA2026 conference and our exhibitors are hard at work networking with delegates, including Diggit, which are specialists in digital data recording for archaeologists, and @MagSurveys which specialises in the research, commercial, and community sectors.

We’ve had lunch & are ready to dive into the afternoon sessions of #CIfA2026 conference. There’s lots to choose from: Heritage science: Connecting Scientific Domains through Heritage. Or Building Connections in Scotland’s Archaeological Landscape (led by @HeadlandArchUK).

Sessions are interspersed with well-deserved coffee and pastry breaks, mixed in with some networking and chatting to exhibitors. Then flop, lunch, network, and we go again this afternoon.

This morning delegates can choose from an array of sessions, from Disseminating the Results of Archaeological Research in the 21st Century to Guidance for Archaeology and Solar Farm Development, or Celebrating Local Government Archaeology.

It’s Day Two of #CIfA2026 conference in Edinburgh, after many of the delegates last night enjoyed the delights of the Edinburgh Street Food market. But now we’re focused on some engaging sessions ahead of us.
