We had a great start to M3 Unit 2 of EL by doing a poster walk! Students examined pictures of different pollinators and recorded things they noticed and wondered to jumpstart their learning! #togetherisbetter @HortonsCreekES

We started learning about fossils and the archeologist Mary Anning this week so we dressed up as a group of archeologists and Mary Anning’s “dino digging dog” Pepper! 🦖🗺🦴 Check out “Stone Girl, Bone Girl” or “The Dog that Dug for Dinosaurs” to learn more about Mary Anning!

Yesterday our second grade students combined exercise and math for an exciting lesson! Groups of 3 students counted how many push-ups they could each do, then worked together to add up the three numbers to find the total! #hawksdoitdifferent #secondgrade @HortonsCreekES
