@angrycryptoshow @IOGroup I am not going to care about TPS, each transaction in Cardano means hundreds and thousands of TPS in other chains anyway. 1000 ADA TPS=million TPS in other places.

UPDATE: #Cardano $ADA's Ouroboros Leios saw over 64 updates last week, with its 1,000 TPS showcase now at 69% completion. IOG plans to launch testnet in June, and is targeting between a 10x and 60x improvement in throughput, with the current Leios prototype already reaching 20x.

Author of Cardano for the Masses releases new book on Midnight. 👀 midnight-3:native

Midnight, Cardano's partnerchain, uses a dual-token system. How does it work? Most blockchains use one token for fees and value, so costs rise with price. Midnight splits those roles: ⚫️ NIGHT (Native Token) is the foundation for network participation and value transfer. It's freely transferable and represents governance rights. ⚪️ DUST (Resource) is a non-transferable, renewable resource designed to pay transaction fees and execute smart contracts. It is consumed when spent. Hold NIGHT -> generate DUST. Then you can use DUST to send transactions or use dApps. DUST regenerates over time while you hold NIGHT, and decays if the backing NIGHT is moved. Benefits of the dual-token system are that transaction costs remain predictable, users spend a resource for transactions, not the main asset and that businesses can forecast operational cost. Another benefit Midnight mentions is that using DUST results in better UX as it's closer to traditional web services.
