@Sebasti66855537 Don't agree with that sentiment at all. RDNA3 has a lot to offer and will absolutely age better like their predecessors before it. Lovelace is great, but RDNA3 should absolutely be a contender for people unless they are obsessed with RT or use CUDA for work. Also, RDNA3 has AV1

Extremely disappointed with RDNA3. It feels like it needed more time in the oven. At this point I'd say just wait for a potential 4080 price cut if you're in the market for a $1000 class high-end GPU.

Sometimes this is so tough that I want to throw my hands to the sky and scream "Why".

Unless you need CUDA acceleration for work, DO NOT BUY AN RTX 4080 FOR GAMING. Either buy the upcoming AMD RX 7900 XT or XTX for better performance, while being $200-$300 cheaper. An RTX 4090 is still an amazing card though and the ONLY new Nvidia card worthwhile.

@FredeFabulous @pierreschonning @harukaze5719 I don't agree that you're "paying for less" at all. Nvidia is burning PCs with their power draw because they HAVE TO due to AMD's competition. And, arguably, AMD has a waaaayyy nicer architecture and is way ahead in Performance per Watt.

@pierreschonning @harukaze5719 But we already do. Cyberpunk at 4k absolutely need a 4090 to run at ultra RT settings, with quality DLSS to have 60 FPS that dips below afaik. Looks absolutely gorgeous. You'll have to settle for less, as it is now, when buying AMD. Thats why it has to be quite a lot cheaper.
