When I wanted to see Olivia Rodrigo I had 6 people sign up for presale and none of us got selected so I decided to camp 7 hours outside the MSG box office where they conveniently “ran out of tickets” right as it was almost our turn to go up so we ended up buying tickets off (1/2)

I dont know that this was the best of all possible outcomes, but i just dont think its obvious that the merger would have been successful for the businesses or beneficial to consumers

@Camorooni @HDr0bot And also the loss to the consumer of an economy airline. Jet Blue probably would have increased prices slightly, but now the consumer is without a cheap airline option with national flights and will have to rely on regional airlines for competitive fares.

@HDr0bot I don’t know what role the Biden administration played, but Jet Blue attempted to acquire Spirit and a judge shut it down on consumer protection grounds.
Now Spirit is no more and there is one less competitor.

This is a subset of the affordability debate but I think there are a fair number of youngish Americans with $200-250k household incomes who feel like that should afford a nicer lifestyle than it actually can in top 10 metros (in part because retirees still have the good houses).

People claiming it’s no biggie to live butts-to-nuts with their kids are wrong. I started middle school sharing a bedroom with a sibling and a parent in a house that also contained my grandparents and a cousin. It sucked and I refuse to feel bad about raising my kids in a big-ass country house.

One big talking point from this Draft is the teams that took their guys and trusted "their" boards vs "consensus". Bears, Rams, Jags, and most notably -- 49ers -- had the largest Deltas between their picks and where the Consensus Big Boards listed. All playoff teams in '25. 🤷🏼♂️
