@chaiiiguevara @Zaydi_Mutazili Gen Baig was against active offensive role in the conflict not against defensive deployements. Pakistan Army was then deployed in Tabuk, Arar and Jubail to protect the oil fields and defend against an Iraqi thrust.

It is likely they are. First Gulf War is a good example of civil-military disagreements on foreign policy obscured in mainstream discourse. The COAS was firmly opposed to Pakistan army’s involvement in the war & while they were involved routinely spoke out against it, but Nawaz Sharif insisted on the deployment.

There came no statement from the DGISPR against AnsarAllah, whatever came was from the mouth of FO (the red-line statement) and the pathetic tweet of the PM. The Sharifs are loyal to Saudis that's no surprise, I hope Pakistan military is in disagreement with the govt on this.
