🧬 [𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵] A new pathway for pest immunity revealed in Solanum lycopersicum Researchers from @UvA_Amsterdam identified key interactions in tomato immunity against Bemisia tabaci. Using our Y2H screening solution they found that the whitefly’s G4 effector protein disrupts tomato defense by targeting RSP1 & MIPDB141, suppressing ROS production.
