Christmas is a joyous time of the year full of excitement and magic, but for some children it can bring some additional challenges. So we just wanted to share this page from our Winter Newsletter from last Christmas which provides some tips to help.

@Juliet_Young1 We discuss this in our workshops and some of our groups. We also talk about behaviour often being a child's best and sometimes only attempt to communicate their needs to the wider world. By framing it as attention seeking it detracts so connection seeking is a fantastic reframe

There's nothing wrong with seeking out attention. Attention from others is often important for survival, especially when we are vulnerable. But attention-seeking has become such a negative phrase that a reframe might help shift the narrative...
